I have downgraded a lot of PSP and now with the latest easy Lumines exploit a lot more people are downgrading and experiencing the wonders of PSP Homebrew! So you’re at 1.50 and you can run all homebrew but there is alot more you can do with your PSP, the steps below will take you to 3.40 OE-A which is the latest OE firmware. This will allow you to boot .isos from the ISO directory on the memory stick, play ps1 games and a host of other things. This tutorial was written with the knowledge that you have some knowledge and you were able to downgrade.

1. Download http://dl.qj.net/3.40-OE-A-PSP/pg/12/fid/13553/catid/163

2. Download ORIGINAL PSP FW 1.50 (If you downgraded you should have this already)

3. Name it 150.PBP

4. Download ORIGINAL PSP FW 3.40 http://dl.qj.net/PSP-FW-3.40-for-the-US-PSP/pg/12/fid/13547/catid/163

5. Name it 340.PBP

6. Extract the 3.40 OE-A rar

7. Place 150.PBP and 340.PBP in the oeupdmaker directory. (You Should have 150.PBP 340.PBP and EBOOT.PBP)

8. Place oeupdmaker and oeupdmaker% in the ms0://PSP/GAME directory (ms0:// = memory stick root)

9. On PSP, Run oeupdmaker from game menu, this is not modifying your PSP its making a file to be used later

10. Once oeupdmaker is done, via PC, put 340oeflasher and 340oeflasher% in the ms0://PSP/GAME directory

11. Copy DATA.DXAR from oeupdmaker to 340oeflasher directory (can delete oeupdmaker from memory stick once this is done)

12. Run 340oeflasher THIS WILL FLASH THE PSP USE AT OWN RISK BLAH BLAH MEH MEH

13. PSP will shut off on its own, turn it back on, you might get a corrupt message might not, now you should be at 3.40 OE-A
